The Dating Plan by Sara Desai was my first romance book of the year and it was a cute one! Daisy Patel is a super smart, attractive young woman who is having a hard time fending off her family who is trying to arrange a husband for her. Then, her high school crush, Liam Murphy, unexpectedly shows back up in her life after breaking her heart many years ago. What ensues in this multi-cultural whirlwind relationship is sweet and heartwarming, yet somewhat predictable. There are just a couple of steamy scenes, but for the most part pretty PG:). I hear that Desai’s first book, The Marriage Game, is similar but I haven’t read it yet.
