My Fall Reading Wish List

These are the books that I currently have on my Fall Reading List and I will probably add to this throughout the fall.  I get ideas from many places such as Goodreads friends, local independent books stores like Murder By The Book and Blue Willow Bookshop in Houston, the New York Times, Amazon, and of course my book club and word of mouth among friends, but I’d still love to hear more suggestions if you have them!

I also have decided that I’m in the mood to read more physical books than e-books this fall so several of these I have been collecting when I find them at a good price (or I borrow from a friend), but some are currently on pre-order status because they are not out yet.  I’ll specify what version I have.  So, here we go!

The Air You Breathe by Frances de Pontes Peebles (hardback).  This was my August Book of the Month selection.

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens (hardback).  This is Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club’s choice this month.

Unbroken Threads by Jennifer Klepper (e-book).  Recommended by a friend.

Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward (hardback).  She spoke at my daughter’s university and was inspiring!

The Paris Seamstress by Natasha Lester (pre-ordered paperback).  This was on a book email I get and looked really interesting!  It is being released tomorrow – Sept 18th!

The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter by Hazel Gaynor (not sure how I’ll read this one will watch prices- Oct 9th release).  She wrote Last Christmas in Paris and I really liked her character development so I’m going to try her again!

A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult (not sure how I’ll read this one – will watch prices – Oct 2nd release).  This one I’m not completely sure of because some of her books are just too emotional for me, but Great Small Things was great so I think I’ll give this one a try!

Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty (not sure how I’ll read this one- will watch prices – Nov 6th release).  This one and A Spark of Light may be my Christmas vacation books!

Wickwythe Hall by Judith Little (e-book).  A World War II book by a local Houston author – it has to go on my list!  And it’s $3.99 on Kindle right now so that’s how I got it!

I better get reading!  More to come I’m sure….
