The Help by Kathryn Stockett was a best-selling novel and an Academy Award-winning film! It is now of the list for Great American Read and its $1.99 for the Kindle edition! If you never read it, now is the time!
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is a book that I wouldn’t have read normally read, but there was so much hype and it was pretty short so I read it. And boy am I glad I did! It was told from such a interesting perspective that it really was thought-provoking! It’s $2.99 for the Kindle edition!
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin – I’m not sure how much I have to say about this one:). I haven’t read it but my husband and one of my sons have read all of or most of the books in this series and I know the TV series won tons of awards! Book 1 is $2.99 for the Kindle edition!
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood is FREE if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber! I’ll admit I haven’t read it or watched the Hulu TV series but if you want to read it, now is a great time!
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is another classic that is FREE right now on Amazon! I read it as a teenager and still remember Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy! Some reviewers say the free Kindle version is not well formatted but it’s worth a try if you want to read it!
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is another book made into a TV series (on Starz). It’s $3.99 for the Kindle edition. I liked this book but never made it to any of the others in the series:)
