Party Girls Die in Pearls was a fun, cozy mystery set at an Oxford College (Christminster) in the middle 1980’s with two new students, sensible English girl Ursula and American fashionista Nancy, teaming up to try to solve the mystery of a murder on campus during their first week of school. The characters are fun and the descriptions of 80’s fashion are hilarious which makes me a little embarrassed about things I wore then!! I really enjoyed reading about the atmosphere at the college and the footnotes provided were very interesting to read. When you are looking to settle in with a fun little mystery this book by Plum Sykes should be considered!
